Trilogy Rosehip Oil
Trilogy Rosehip Oil is such a classic New Zealand favourite, so I thought I would review it along with the delightful new Jua perfume.
I’ve been using the Rosehip Oil for a few months now, and it really is a great versatile product. I was using pure Argan oil on my face at night, but it was starting to get far too greasy, even with my dry skin. I thought I’d switch to a more face-friendly oil which still had plenty of healing benefits, and it turns out Rosehip Oil has more benefits than I bargained for!
I love that there is only a very subtle hint of rose, which shows that there really are no synthetic fragrances. I love knowing that this is made in New Zealand, and especially that it’s all natural and organic – isn’t that the most important thing for your skin?! I use Trilogy Rosehip Oil on my face at night, after cleansing, exfoliating and toning. It goes on evenly and settles into my skin nicely. I don’t have to worry about a big greasy mess on my pillow! I wake up with glowing, fresh skin. It also seems to be helping with my acne scars. I use this on my hands at night, and sometimes during the morning – it’s perfect for the dry skin around my nails.
The Trilogy Rosehip Oil is recommended for people with dry, sensitive or scarred skin, and also helps reduce wrinkles. Sounds all good to me!
Trilogy Jua Perfume
Next up is the new natural Jua Perfume, which contributes to communities in Africa. I really love the African name and design, and the well-designed cardboard packaging ties it all together. The name Jua is Swahili for sunshine. When I first smelled this perfume it really took me right back to the African veldt grass plains, colourful flowers and rugged mountains. South Africa’s landscape will always be in my heart!
Jua is a small 7.5ml roll on perfume, which packs a lot of punch! This fits perfectly in a small cosmetic purse in my bag, and it will last many months. I roll it on to my wrists and neck and it lasts most of the day. The base of the perfume is Tanzanian sunflower oil which has been hand-pressed.
The scent is very natural and fresh, and definitely reminds me of the sun and sweet brightly coloured flowers in summer. It’s a beautiful fresh scent, without smelling like grass! I really love the sweetness of it, and that it’s not too overpowering.
From the Trilogy website: “Jua is… imbued with a sense of joy and a depth that evokes a feeling of a meadow warmed by sunshine. With a range of notes covering floral, fruity and woody, Jua has an almost universal appeal in a definitively modern fragrance structure.”
I highly recommend trying this perfume, especially as $2 from every purchase goes to charity. This would make a great birthday or Christmas gift, especially paired with the Rosehip Oil or another Trilogy product.
I’d really love to try more Trilogy products. What do you recommend?
