Magical illuminations in Marunouchi

Every winter the Marunouchi area around Tokyo Station puts on magical illuminations along Nakadori. The beautiful trees are strung with thousands of gold lights, all glimmering off the fashionable flagship storefronts. If you’re looking for a romantic evening outing, or a fun night of selfie-taking with friends – this is just the spot. Warm up at the various food stalls, and enjoy the circus entertainment or the ice-skating rink.

While you’re there, take a peek inside the high-end fashion stores; you’ll find Issey Miyake, Beams, Marimekko, Comme de Garcons and more…

There are also some pretty stunning department stores which are great for clothes, makeup and gifts, as well as some architecture viewing. I love Kitte and the Shin-Marunouchi building (you can see Tokyo Station from the rooftop).

Check out Marunouchi.com for more event details.
